Westport Whimbrels and shorebird jackpot!

Westport- Cockenoe Island by Boat-
2 Whimbrel,2 Piping Plover,17 American Oystercatchers( including a single fledged bird),20 Black-bellied Plovers, 100 Dunlin,80 Short -billed Dowitchers, Semipalmated Plovers and Sandpipers,6 Spotted Sandpipers,40 Ruddy Turnstones, 8 Purple Sandpipers on East White Rocks.
Also had 3 Laughing Gulls and one Forster’s Tern with the estimated 200 Common Terns.
8 lingering Long-tailed Ducks which is not unusual for Westport.
