Hello Gators,As we are transitioning into the fall season and trying some new workouts, here's a quick recap of what is remaining for this week...Tonight (Thursday), 10/15, 7:30pm-8:45pm: Bike Trainer workout at the Y (Room 2) led by Don M; see Training Peaks for detailsSaturday, 10/17, 7:30am: Two options; note that the temps will likely range from around 40 at the start to no better than 50 by the end, so please plan your attire appropriately...Option 1: Mountain Bike ride at Green Lane Park led by Brian.Option 2: Schuylkill River Trail ride/brick run starting from Reynolds Dog Park/Longford Park in Oaks led by Don; plan is for a 2:15-2:30 leisurely paced ride to Shawmont/Manayunk and back (34 miles) followed by an optional "on your own" 15-30 minute run.Sunday, 10/18, 7:30am: Trail run starting from Collegeville Diner led by Brian. Distances of 1-16 miles will be accommodated.
Events are established in Facebook for all four of these activities. We will determine which workouts will take place based on your responses, so please reply if you plan to attend any of them.
We are adding more run workouts (some Tuesdays and every other Sunday plus continuing with the brick runs on spinning Tuesdays and Saturdays) based on your replies to our recent member survey. There has been very little attendance at the first two (last Sunday and last Tuesday). We will continue to offer them for the next few weeks and then determine if they will continue based on attendance.
PS - Reminder to check off your name on the newly updated GFC tracking sheet posted at the Y if you have not already done so. All reported completions are checked off including S/B/R and 20 second plank for week 1 (last week) and S/B/R and 40 second plank for this week. I will post a weekly Facebook message on Sunday or Monday for you to post your "Done" messages that way as well if you do not have an opportunity to check yourself off at the Y.
