I have been trying to fast render an item (It normally takes 3.5 hours
in non-fast rendering, and still fails) I have a number of questions,
based on the console messages I get, such as -
[fast-csg-remesh] Skipping remeshing of patch with 60 faces as it seems
to have holes.
I have no idea where/how these holes are generated, or how to remove
them, since there is no indication of the region in which they occur. It
carries on rendering, and the final object looks OK, and can be saved as
stl, obj, off, etc., but can not be sliced properly in Cura/whatever.
It also has numerous messages such as -
[fast-csg-remesh] Remeshed from 716632 to 556898 faces (22 % improvement)
so does it stick its remeshed parts with those it couldn't remesh? what
is the point in that, if the result is still unusable? Is the remeshing
generating holes? What exactly is meant by a hole when it comes to fast
render?
