BUY, SELL AND TRADE TRAWLERS AND TRAWLERING GEAR
View all threadsCustom made 46 fiberglass trawler, 1991, Twin 135hp Perkins w/ approx. 2300hrs. Asking $55k. The builder made fishing trawlers, but finished 3 of these as pleasure craft.1998 Survey estimates Replacement cost at $160k as is. Its a project, but really only needs improvement. Very usable condition, I took it from Fort Lauderdale to Palacios, TX and Im a novice. (1300nm and we only used 60% of our fuel at 7.5 to 8.5kts avg) Has 6kw diesel gen. 2kw inverter, like new 10 inflatable dingy (never been in the water), like new Garmin chart-plotter w/depth, like new vhf + old vhf & old depth finder. 880 gal diesel in 4 tanks, 600+ gal fresh water, 100 gal holding. Ive kept a log of maintenance including pumps replaced, rebuilt transmission (killed my budget) and any repairs plus electrical & plumbing details, etc. Two helm stations, but like most things on this boat they have been neglected and need some maintenance or upgrade. I envisioned enclosing the bridge to make this a
true pilot house trawler, which is very do-able with existing solid structure and hard top (No inside helm station at this point, brrrr). With just a little more budget this boat could be something beautiful inside and out. The cabins are nicely done (marine AC works great), but the salon needs remodeling. The galley is worn out, but again usable if need be (2 small AC refrigerators, microwave, alcohol stove out dated, not tested.). Only one head, but roomy as is the entire interior + easy access to roomy engine-room. Lots of fenders, lines, PFDs, 2 anchors, spare props, etc. anything related to the boat is included of course. The exterior needs paint, but its condition will not disappoint!
There are lots of pictures of the boat at the beginning of my wifes blog of our trip from Fla. To Texas (http://mvrefugio.blogspot.com/ ) + additional photos available.
I am willing to go through your broker or what-ever works for you! The boat is located in Palacios, Texas, but I am available to help deliver anywhere.
E-mail with any questions; brokers too! Sorry about the Yahoo e-mail, but Outlook doesnt work for me away from home. Thanks for looking!
