The City of Auburn and the Auburn Arts Commission are pleased to present the work of Maryna Kantsyr at the Cheryl Sallee Gallery, on view January 14 – March 9, 2022.
Maryna Kantsyr was born, and trained as an artist in Moldova, a small country between Romania and Ukraine. After earning her first bachelor’s degree, she moved to Ukraine, where she earned her second bachelor’s degree and participated in many exhibitions, including 7 solo art shows. Maryna is inspired by her interactions with the outside world. Using logic and emotion, she uses oil paint to transform these ideas, emotions, thoughts and interactions into vibrant artwork. Kantsyr challenges you to see your own story, your feelings, or thoughts in her art.

This art installation is coordinated through the City of Auburn, Parks, Arts & Recreation Department and with the support of the Auburn Arts Commission.
