Mike, assuming that you are talking about a single serpentine belt, perhaps you are asking too much of it. Certainly a single v-belt is inadequate. I would recommend that for your own piece of mind that you go to the Gates website and use their online belt calculator. You can input your variables and it will show you acceptable belt loading, shaft radial loads, and minimum pulley diameters. The other thing that is critical are mounts that are rigid enough to withstand the pulsing of that 4 cylinder.
