please join UWT Project Earth for Earth Week events!!!
Tuesday: April 24th
Location: Gillen Water Plaza (in front of library)
Composting information session: 12:00-2:30
- A variety of information regarding specific compostables and non-compostables, including breakdown time and production costs.
Vermicomposting Demonstrations: 12:30, 1:15 and 2:00
- Three 30-minute demonstrations on how to construct an at-home vermicomposting bin. We will also have a raffle for participants to win the bins constructed during the demonstration!
Wednesday: April 25th
Location: The flag pole outside of Keystone
Geocaching event information: 12:00-2:00
- We will be providing information on geocaching, including hands-on demonstrations of how to use the equipment.
- The geocaching event itself will last from Wednesday to Friday.
Location: Along the railroad tracks, near West Coast Grocery
Rain garden event: 12:00-4:00
- Come participate in the construction of the universities newest rain garden!
Friday: April 27th
Location: Giving Garden
Spring planting: 11:00-3:00
- We will be transplanting our seedlings from our greenhouse to the garden! What better way to celebrate earth week than planting in the garden!
Location: Platform behind the Spaghetti Factory, near railroad tracks
Pizza from The Rock and Earth Week recap: 3:00-5:00
- If you missed anything during the week, come catch up over free pizza from The Rock!
