Hello Gators,Here's a brief update on the plans for this week's Tues night, Thurs night, and Saturday morning workouts; any additional details or changes will be posted to the Gators Facebook group...Tuesday/TONIGHT, 6:15pm-8pm (Pawlings Ave parking lot start): There is only a 20% chance of showers (and warmest ride so far this year with temps around 80 at the start), so we're planning for an outdoor ride/run brick starting at 6:15pm from the Pawlings Ave. SRT parking lot (same time/place as last Tuesday). Please plan to arrive early enough to start promptly at 6:15pm. Michelle will be leading the workout and will provide instructions before we start. Note that we will finish early enough for you to attend Maribeth's 8:30pm yoga for triathletes workout at the Y.Thursday, 6:15pm-8:15pm (dog park start): Outdoors cycling workout led by Byron. Tentatively plan to meet at the Reynolds Dog Park trail parking lot off of Longford Rd. in time for a prompt 6:15pm start.Saturday: You have two options...Primary option: Quad County Metric bike ride; starts at Green Lane Park. This is offered by Suburban Cyclists Unlimited and includes distance options of 26, 45, and 68 miles and an extra "Intense Climbing Unit" 8 mile block option for the 45 and 68 mile distances (for totals of 53 and 76 miles). The 68/76 mile rides begin anytime between 7:30am-8:30am, the 45/53 mile distances start anytime between 8:30am-9:30am, and the 26 mile distance starts anytime between 8:30am-10:30am. There is a $37.50 fee (must register by TOMORROW, May 6) that includes well-marked roads, cue sheets, maps, well-stocked rest stops, and a hot lunch following your ride. Plus post ride massages are available for $10. There are at least 6 Gators participating; please reply back if you are interested in participating so that we can coordinate our plans. For the evenings, Steve is on for tonight and Maddie will be filling in for Maribeth on Wednesday night.Tuesday, 6:15pm-8pm (Reynolds Dog Park/Longford Rd. parking lot start... NOTE THE LOCATION, WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS): The current weather forecast looks great... Temp going from the low 80s to the high 70s and sunny, so we're planning for an outdoor ride/run brick starting at 6:15pm from the dog park parking lot. Please plan to arrive early enough to start promptly at 6:15pm. Michelle will be leading the workout and will provide instructions before we start. Note that we will finish early enough for you to attend Maribeth's 8:30pm yoga for triathletes workout at the Y.Thursday, 6:15pm-8:15pm (dog park start): The current forecast also looks very good... Temps in upper 60s to low 70s, so prepar for an outdoor cycling workout led by Byron (filling in for Danny). Plan to meet at the Reynolds Dog Park trail parking lot off of Longford Rd. in time for a prompt 6:15pm start.Saturday morning: The weather looks questionable, so we'll wait until later in the week to provide details about the location, duration, and start time.
I hope to see you sometime this week! If you have seldom or never attended a Tri Club workout, why not join us this week?
