Observers:
Visitors:
Thanks to those visitors who helped with today's count and Tom B for
submitting the numbers.
Weather:
Winds were light for the day starting E and then sliding around through SE
to SSW by the end of the count period. Temps remained cool starting at 7C
and getting only to a high of 15C. The pressure dropped throughout the day
as the large low approached the region.
Raptor Observations:
Despite the less than ideal winds there were birds that made their way past
the hawk watch with a total of 597 for the day with mostly TVs, Sharpies
and BWs and one more lone Peregrine.
Non-raptor Observations:
None reported.
Predictions:
Rain on and off and overcast will pretty much halt the migration on Sunday,
Monday and even through to Tuesday. I'd say the next push of migrants will
likely happen on Wednesday with the forecast of NW winds and sun and cloud.
