Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes

This morning the current river at Alton pool ( mm 202, Melvin Price Lock) is 22 ft. I show 9.4 ft on my depthfinder today, Monday I was at 4 ft, last night I was at 6.5, this morning 9.4. the mighty river is coming up fast.
Flood forecast Monday 34 ft.
The Mississippi River is closed to recreational and commercial traffic, locks are closed. The Mel Price lock has all gates wide open, so the river height is the same upstream and downstream. We now are at the same height as the Missouri and Mississippi confluence.
A good resource for watching these levels is riverbills.com, scroll down and you can see the charts.

What is current river height?
What is 2008 flood height?
Will you have to move?

Subject: GL: Flooding on Mississippi At Alton
Corps of Engineers has advised that flooding equivalent to the floods of 2008 may be experienced at Alton IL. The Alton Marina is taking flood precautions now, the parking lot will be closed tomorrow, the temporary boat storage will be closed and all trailers and boats moved to the other side of the dike. If this high water continues to rise, the marina will close, the water and power will be shut off. A temporary dike may be installed to allow access to the docks the first of the week.
As many loopers know, the spuds locating the marina are higher than the dikes so we have a little room to breath, but not much, as the mighty river rises.
