"Volunteers Needed: Saturday, April 26th, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Sheridan Elementary School for a Fun Bike Safety Rodeo
A bike safety rodeo is a series of simple riding drills that when combined help students and children ride their bikes with greater awareness. We need volunteers who are excited to work with elementary school children as they travel through the 8 stations of the Bike Safety Rodeo. This involves providing simple instructions and encouragement. The Rodeo begins at 11:00 AM and the first half hour of the event, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM will be providing volunteers with more information about their portion of the rodeo. Coffee and donuts provided for volunteers. Please contact Hannah Miner at hminer@cityoftacoma.orgmailto:hminer@cityoftacoma.org for more information.
We will also be giving away helmets at the second station of the bicycle rodeo and are looking for bicycle helmet fitters. If you are interested and able to participate, there will be a training to learn to fit helmets on March 31st at 3 PM. Contact Hannah Miner at hminer@cityoftacoma.orgmailto:hminer@cityoftacoma.org for more information about the location."
