We will do a brief update on what's happening on crude oil transport safety in the Puget Sound basin, and then figure out logistics for whoever wants to join either of *two* events happening this Saturday the 16th! We will have our monthly beach cleanup from 10 AM to noon on Saturday at Narrows Park <https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tacoma+Narrows+Park/@47.268366,-122.563573,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x5491ab5ccd01b4f1:0xbd7ff47465fe7484?hl=en>. The cleanup will be our participation in Hands Across The Sand, a international program opposing offshore oil drilling. ​ ​Chapter members will also participate in the Paddle in Seattle, a legal 1 PM demonstration on Elliott Bay opposing Shell Oil's plans to house their oil drilling rigs in Seattle, before they head out to begin offshore drilling in the Alaskan Arctic.
