interactions with minors

Thanks again for all who joined us on the call on Tuesday.

I'm curious if in setting up any of these alternative response/community safety/unarmed first responders programs you have developed any guidance for staff on interactions with minors.

For example, can staff transport minors home? Are there age restrictions? What kind of parent consent would be sufficient, written, over the phone? What if parent is incapacitated?

What if response requires taking parent into hospital, leaving a child alone.  What duty does staff have? Are some standard protocols in those situations?

Any thoughts or guidance you have on this topic, I'd greatly appreciate.

Thanks,

Sofia Hernandez (she/her/ella)
