The PhDs will be enrolled by Université Toulouse 3 in France. Two of them will be based in Toulouse and one in Paris. Here's a short description: 1. Impact of Infomediaries and Platforms on Journalism will investigate the relationship between journalism and infomediary platforms such as Facebook, Google, and Twitter. 2. Politics and Ethics of User-Generated Contentin Journalism will investigate a critical understanding of how newsrooms integrate user-generated content into newsgathering. 3. Audience Analytics will investigate improved techniques for measuring performance and a critical understanding of how newsrooms can integrate data-driven decision making.
