I'm cleaning up an ESI RS-624 6 decade resistance box. At some stage the original 4mm binding posts which fit in large 'D' shaped panel cut outs have been replaced with just adequate alternatives. Ideally I'd like to replace them with the original type, but low thermal EMF is the main goal. Anyone got any used Tellurium Copper binding posts lying around or know where I can pick a pair (or 4) at low cost?

No knowledge of source of original posts. Pomona 3770 binding posts are Gold
Plated Tellurium Copper available from Mouser for USD $7.69 per unit. Is
that too pricey?

Hi Stan,

Thanks Stan. That's a lot better than the place I found which had a minimum
order of 10, but when I access the Mouser site from here in the UK it gives
the unit price as £6.89 (UK Pounds) which I make USD $11.11 rather than the
USD $7.69 you quote.
That's more than I'd like to spend, especially with the inflated shipping
charge they probably want.

Any better offers?

Alan

Alan,

I've got a bunch of 3770's lying around and you'd be welcome to a pair
of them, at 6 Euro's each. Postage to the UK from The Netherlands would
not be prohibitive. But I'm afraid  they may
not be of much use, as they are smaller than the originals. Smaller at
least than the ones on my DB-877. I ended up using gold-plated brass
ones to replace those:
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=7016K-ND
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=7016K-ND
For your RS-624 that might not be an option, though.

PM me if you're interested in the 3770's anyway.

Regards,
Rob.
