A member has some employees who are not law enforcement but who have been facing increasing threats of violence from the public while performing their work. There has been a question about the potential for these employees to be given body worn cameras, in the hopes that having such cameras will proactively protect the employees (and potentially be used for criminal prosecution in the unfortunate event of the employees being injured). Has anyone used body worn cameras outside of law enforcement? The member is aware that there will be some government data issues specific to their state, but they would like connect with others who have done this to discuss general considerations.
