Discussion and technical support related to USRP, UHD, RFNoC
View all threadsHi!
We were working with UHD 4.1 and Ubuntu 22, but we wanted to upgrade the version to the 4.8. However, we keep encountering this error all the time and are unsure why.
The new version does not allow to use commands that previously worked. This force us to downgrade the uhd version to 4.1. We also tried 4.5, but the same problem.
If anyone can help us troubleshoot this problem, I would really appreciate it!
Best regards,
Álvaro
Hi Álvaro,
You should check the UHD version on the x4xx device itself and make sure it matches the UHD version on the host OS.
I am guessing the UHD version on the x4xx device is 4.1.0.0 that is why having the same version of the host OS works but other versions aren't working.
If the x4xx still have the 4.1.0.0 version, you may consider updating the x4xx file system so that both UHD on x4xx and host are the same.
I hope this helps.
Best,
Joshua

See here for instructions on how to update the filesystem on the device to
the one that matches your UHD version.
