Power cats

Hi Georgs,

Thank you for your nice comments although I am certain that there are quite
a few people who know a bit more about power cat design than I do!

In response to your question, we do seem to be quite busy at the moment with
a variety of different and interesting projects.

Compared to this time last year when we had come off the back of a busy '08
year and came to a screeching halt for the beginning of '09.

Currently we have in progress a 21m semi commercial alloy planing power cat
for a retiring fisherman who will still do the occasional bit of work but
more likely use it as a private vessel or for charter work.

There is a new 14m composite planing power cat to start for a client who
intends to use it as a touch and go platform for his Robinson R44
helicopter!

We will also be starting this month on a 15.2m displacement hull power cat
to be built in Korea as a production moulded unit.

Also progressing through the design stage is a new 10.65m displacement power
cat under way in Australia, this is also a production moulded boat.

A new 20m displacement hull cat is well advanced for a NZ client as a
private vessel that is being built to survey so that it might also do some
charter work.

There are a couple of new projects in alloy and composite underway in China
as well.

In the preliminary stages there are several other power cat and sailing cat
projects and the level of enquiry is very high, so for a small office (2
people) you could say that we have more than enough on at the moment.

Best regards

Roger Hill.
