We passed the girls in Little Current. They had to jump off and attend a
wedding. They did the loop in about the same amount of time.
Friend of ours did it in about the same amount of time in a Cruiser 455.
They started in Fort Myers Florida in April and finished in the fall.
However,  they spent two months in St. Louis.
The question is why!!!

Hi Mac  and others,
Have you seen a detailed schedule for the  Beneteau trip?  If so can you
forward the link.  The only  schedule I saw is leaving Annapolis on May 15
and returning in September  or 4 to 4 1/2 months.  If they bypass Canada
and
go through the Great  Lakes the schedule is probably very doable. I'm
assuming they will not be  stopping much.  Do you remember how long it took
the girls in the  Alumacraft a few years ago?  I remember passing them when
we were  coming down the Hudson.

Subject: GL: Beneteau's So-called "Greatest  Loop"

Surely I can't be the only person who estimates  that the
timetable for that is totally fraught with  booger-bears?

Are they unaware of the "old saw" that the worst  thing you
can have when boating is a schedule?

Are  those folks totally ignorant of times to get through
locks and speed  limits in various places in both Canada
and USA?? I know the Beneteau  is billed as a "fast trawler"
but I believe that there are many places  where they simply
can not travel rapidly. They are also apparently  unaware
or ignoring the fact that locks are frequently CLOSED  for
unexpected reasons.

SHEESH!
