Note 1: Yes, this "Daily" report hasn't bee seen lately.  Anyone
feeling to need to know what is being seen and reported should be
checking CTBirds.  If you don't want to subscribe the messages can be
read on several web sites.

Note 2: For those who want to keep track of CT and other states in the
northeast I like this page at Sialia.  By happy coincidence CT appears
right at the top!

02/16/15 - Stratford, Great Meadows marsh -- SNOWY OWL. From
entrance/exit of Sikorsky Airport, look in frozen marsh slightly to
right of tall red and white radio towers.
Housatonic River, Birdseye boatramp north to Rt 1 bridge (Dock
shopping center) -- light-morph ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK.  One of three
Red-tailed Hawks was eating a dead loon or murre on the ice (photos
being reviewed by Yale experts).

02/16/15 - Stratford, Great Meadows marsh -- 4 PM; SNOWY OWL Visible
from far end of parking lot at Long Beach.

From Alex Burdo, Brendan Murtha, and Aidan Kiley (in part):
02/16/15 - Westport - Sherwood Island State Park -- 1 FOX SPARROW.
Bridgeport, Seaside Park -- 2 ICELAND GULL (one 1st cycle, one 3rd
winter, as reported by Brendan earlier).
Stratford, Long Beach -- 1 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK, 1 ICELAND GULL.
Stratford, Lordship Marsh, viewed from the entrance to Sikorsky
Airport -- 1 SNOWY OWL (found by Frank Mantlik).
Stratford, Stratford Point -- 1 SNOW BUNTING.
Stratford, Raven Pond Park -- 2 NORTHERN PINTAIL.

02/16/15 - Guilford, yard -- a small group of Black Vultures flew over
my back yard.

02/16/15 - Bridgeport, Seaside Park -- 2 Iceland Gulls, 1 juvenile
type and 1 3rd winter, on the water around jetty across from the
cannon.

02/16/15 - Hamden, North Lake Dr -- 3 Pine Siskins.

From Robert Dixon:
02/16/15 - Norwich, Rte 2, near the junction of I-395 -- BLACK VULTURE
(28) flying into roost at 5:15 PM.

02/16/15 - Rocky Hill(?) -- Six Great Cormorants seen on the ice just
south of the Rocky Hill ferry landing parking lot Monday afternoon.
