Following up on my preamble to yesterday’s CEF update: NDD United sent a letter to the Hill yesterday calling for a continuing resolution (CR) that does not go beyond December. The letter also calls for exclusion of any ideologically motivated riders in the CR.

CEF is one of the founders of NDD United, so by extension NCL’s membership in CEF connects us to NDD United’s work. CEF will send its own letter up to the Hill next week.
It’s pretty clear that most education, health, housing, workforce, etc. advocates — pretty much anyone who advocates on behalf of programs supported by non-defense discretionary funding — are lining up in favor of the Democrats’ position.
