TACOMA GALLERY CALL TO ARTISTS: TACOMA ART
Tacoma Gallery is looking for a few additional 2D artists to be considered
for the upcoming exhibition: Tacoma Art. We are looking for a few more
drawings, prints, photos or paintings that either depict the Tacoma area or
are obviously inspired by this area.
Artists from historically underrepresented communities and backgrounds are
enthusiastically encouraged to submit their work.
This is not a juried show; Several artists have already been selected for
the exhibit, butwe have room for more. Not all work submitted will be
included in the show, but all submissions will be reviewed and may be
considered for future on-site and off-site exhibits.* If you are interested
in submitting work that is ready to hang (works on paper properly framed,
hanging wires, etc) please complete the following:*
*1. Send 1-5 jpegs to jason@tacomagallery.com
jason@tacomagallery.com no later than Wednesday September 26 by 11:59 PM
(sooner is better because work will be reviewed upon receipt and spots
filled accordingly.) *
Include your name, title of each work, price or insurance value,
size and medium.
Include a resume or exhibition history and your contact information
Works chosen for this show would need to be delivered on or before
October 3, 2018.
The show will run during the October Arts Month in the modest exhibition
space, adjacent to Tacoma Gallery’s studio at the 1120 Hilltop Spaceworks
building. The space has overhead lighting but unfortunately does not have
spot or track lighting at this time. This location is also upstairs, with
no elevator access. The show will be open during the Tacoma Studio Tour,
Third Thursday Art Walk, during scheduled art classes and by appointment,
Monday through Saturday. The show will be promoted during the month and
work will be featured on Tacoma Gallery’s social media accounts.
All work will be insured by Tacoma Gallery, LLC while on site. Artists who
have work for sale will retain 70% from the sale. Artists must be able to
pick up their work or arrange to have it shipped at the conclusion of the
show, in November.
