King Eider (Hamilton): Two female-type birds were seen by Cedar Ponce and
Keith Dieroff off Van Wagner's Beach on October 28.
Harlequin Duck (Lambton): Rick Thornton photographed a female-type bird at
Grand Bend on November 2.
Harlequin Duck (Toronto): One bird was off Tommy Thompson Park October
30-November 2.
Barrow's Goldeneye (Grey): William Gray photographed a male at Owen Sound
Harbour on November 3.
Barrow's Goldeneye (Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry): Dawn and Robert
Scranton photographed a male at Long Sault on October 28 that was present
through November 2.
Eared Grebe (Chatham-Kent): Luke Raso found one at Rondeau PP on October 29
that was seen by several other observers the same day.
Eared Grebe (Lambton): James Holdsworth photographed one off Port Franks on
October 31.
Eared Grebe (Wellington): One bird was seen by many observers at Belwood
Lake on October 30 that continued to at least November 2.
RUFOUS/ALLEN'S HUMMINGBIRD (Thunder Bay): One bird is visiting a feeder on
Hutton Park Drive in Thunder Bay, at least to November 3.
PURPLE GALLINULE (Lambton): Deryl Nethercott found the remains of one dead
at Canatara Park in Sarnia on November 3.
Purple Sandpiper (Cochrane): A group of birders reported one at Netitishi
Point on October 28 and 29 and two there on October 31.
Red Phalarope (Cochrane): The same group of birders reported two at
Netitishi Point on October 31.
Willet (Essex): One bird was seen by several observers at Hillman Marsh on
October 30 and then another (or the same) was there November 2.
RAZORBILL (Prescott and Russell): Jacques Bouvier reported one continuing
at the Carillon Generating Station on October 30.
Black Guillemot (Cochrane): The group of birders at Netitishi Point
reported one there on October 31.
Black-legged Kittiwake (COCHRANE): The group of birders at Netitishi Point
reported one there on October 28.
Black-legged Kittiwake (Hamilton): Several birders reported a single bird
off Van Wagner's Beach on October 28.
Franklin's Gull (Elgin): The bird found October 23 by Nate Badger at Port
Stanley remained until October 28.
Franklin's Gull (Lambton): James Holdsworth reported one off Pinery PP on
November 3.
Pacific Loon (Hamilton): A group of birders at Van Wagners Beach had one
flying by on October 28.
Pacific Loon (Simcoe): Up to four birds were reported this week from the
Barrie waterfront.
NEOTROPIC CORMORANT (Niagara): One bird was reported from St. Catharines on
November 28.
Cattle Egret: Too many reports to list individually, but twelve birds were
reported in the south, from Chatham-Kent, Elgin, Essex, Frontenac, Lanark,
Leeds and Grenville, Norfolk, Oxford, and Toronto
Cattle Egret (THUNDER BAY): One bird was present at Roots to Harvest Garden
in Thunder Bay to at least November 2.
American Three-toed Woodpecker (Ottawa): Both a male and female have been
seen by many on the greenbelt pathway trail east of Conroy
TROPICAL KINGBIRD (Essex): The bird found by Eddie Beaubien in Brock Park
in Windsor on October 10 was seen by many to at least November 3.
TROPICAL KINGBIRD (Thunder Bay): The bird found by Al Harris, Jake
O'Flaherty, Joan and Gord Smith, and Brian Ratcliff at Pays Plat on October
25 remained to at least October 28.
Boreal Chickadee (Ottawa): One bird was present at Orlando Park in Ottawa
October 27-28.
Boreal Chickadee (Peterborough): Tim Arthur found one at Buzzard Lake in
Kawartha Highlands PP on November 1 and Luke Berg found one just north of
Trent University on November 2.
Boreal Chickadee (Simcoe): The bird found earlier in the fall by Dave Szmyr
at Bear Creek Wetlands in Barrie continued to at least October 31. Toby
Rowland photographed one at the north end of Barrie on November 1.
Townsend's Solitaire (Essex): Steve Pike found one near the visitor centre
of Point Pelee on October 30 that remained to at least October 31.
Townsend's Solitaire (Lambton): A group of birders reported one at the
dunes in Pinery PP on October 29.
Prairie Warbler (COCHRANE): Luke Berg reported one at Netitishi Point on
October 29.
TOWNSEND'S WARBLER (Chatham-Kent): The bird found by Ric and Ann McArthur
visiting their yard in Rondeau on October 16 continued this week and was
seen by many to at least October 31.
TOWNSEND'S WARBLER (Niagara): Rob Buchanan photographed one in his Grismby
backyard October 29, but it has not been seen again.
Indigo Bunting (COCHRANE): The group of birders at Netitishi Point found
one there on October 30.
Dickcissel (Peel): Dennis Dirigal photographed one near Winston Chruchill
and Beryl on October 30.
Dickcissel (Lambton): James Holdsworth reported one at Port Franks on
October 28.
