Rick founded and managed a 40- hive sideliner beekeeping and urban farm project for the Capuchin Franciscan in Michigan from 1998 to 2006.* *In collaboration with the St. Leo Food Connection and L'Arche Farm and Garden he established the L'Honey Project which is a collaborative venture with L'Arche to promote sustainable beekeeping and an agricultural cottage industry with hive and farm field products.
