Hi all,

I wanted to thank everyone so much for all your help, and let you know that
the Oakland Museum has decided to migrate to CollectionSpace from Argus.
We're still at the stage of figuring out a timeline and resources, but it
looks like we're hoping to begin the project in the next month or so.

Thanks again!

Al

Congratulations, Al, and welcome once again (in a slightly more formal
way) to the CollectionSpace community!  That's great news!

We're looking forward to continuing to work with you and Becky, and
your colleagues at OMCA.  Please let us know from time to time what's
happening in your data migration and configuration/customization work.

As well, please continue to ask questions (and share tips and
successes :-) on the Talk list!

Aron

P.S. We're currently working on updating the Configuring
CollectionSpace documentation for version 4.0 - and more generally,
since many of the configuration docs are in need of review and
updating.  If all goes well, some useful portion of that update will
be ready when you begin your configuration work in earnest.

P.P.S. For those on this list who may not have yet visited the Oakland
Museum of California, perhaps because you live out of the area ...
when you get the opportunity to come to the San Francisco Bay Area,
consider putting OMCA on your itinerary; it's a great place to visit:

Thanks for the announcement, Al.  It's wonderful to welcome OMCA to the CollectionSpace family!  And I am really, really impressed with your hard work on this.  I remember talking with you a year ago as OMCA embarked on this evaluation.  Your patience and perseverance are truly impressive.
Regards,
Chris
