January 2004

Asking: $149,500.00

Winter storage paid for until June 1, 2004 and includes launching.

Delivery possible at reasonable rates.

We will commission engines and water systems in the spring at no charge.

"Traveler" is priced well below many comparable fine wooden yachts currently
listed, and most do not have the superb lines
and classic looks of this pedigree yacht. With the recent 2002 restoration,
this vessel is an excellent value.

We look forward to being of service after the sale as well.

Fiberglass / Awlgrip Option

For the yachtsman who desires the benefits of a wooden vessel  ( quiet,
insulated, strong construction, easier motion )  and
needs the protection and maintenance attributes of fiberglass, we have an
option available. For the person who wants a yacht of this caliber in
fiberglass at a reasonable price, this is the answer.

We will work with a professional fiberglass boat builder who will apply a
heavy fiberglass skin over this very sound double
planked hull. The double planking is a very stable and an extremely strong
substrate for a fiberglass finish. There are no caulked seams. Hull is tight
and fair. Moisture level perfect for this application.

Vessel will be stripped of paint from keel to rub rail. Hull faired. Thru hull
fittings pulled and reinstalled over the fiberglass
afterwards. A heavy skin of fiberglass is applied to the hull. Extra layers
applied to keel. Below the waterline a thick gelcoat is
built up for moisture proofing, sanded and bottom painted. Above the
waterline, the fiberglass and gelcoat are faired with the
Awlgrip system and then a fine Awlgrip paint finish is applied. Your choice of
color!

The result will be a fiberglass / Awlgrip finished boat that is better than
just a solid glass boat!

Her transom will remain bright varnished teak.

The combination will provide decades of protection and greatly reduced
maintenance. Bilges will remain dry. Hull strength will
be increased. This system is similar to the modern method of building a custom
laminated hull with epoxy and finishing with a
fiberglass epoxy skin.

Price with New Fiberglass / Awlgrip hull: $189,500.

Boat will be ready by June 15, 2004  work to start approximately May 1, 2004
if purchased with this option

Traveler is a classic Ed Monk design with walk around teak decks, a large bow
area, an enclosed pilothouse, and a flying
bridge with bimini top. Comfortable cockpit, walk thru transom door and
spacious swim platform. The saloon cabin roof is
reinforced and capable of carrying a 13' Boston Whaler. The flying bridge
provides a commanding view of the entire yacht.
Monk trawler designs helped set the standard for cruising yachts. Traveler was
built by Nimphius Boatworks located in
Neshkoro, Wisconsin. Nimphius is considered one of the finest classic wooden
boat yards in the country. They have a national
reputation for the highest quality work. Her replacement value as a fine
wooden yacht is estimated at $900,000. plus.

A Nimphius built boat is equal to Bunker and Ellis, Hogdon Yachts and Paul
Luke in the quality of construction and selection of the finest materials. She
is "Top Shelf" as they say.

Traveler is one of a kind. The design is an original produced by Edwin Monk
Sr. renowned marine architect.

Traveler has been in the Great Lakes for most of her life. She has been
properly maintained by experienced and
knowledgeable owners.

June 2003, "Traveler" has passed a rigid condition survey. Fastenings are near
new condition and structure excellent. Systems
work was considered to be excellent.
