The purchase complete Im now focused on bringing the boat from Dana Point to Seattle. Im researching ways to keep in touch with the list as we transit north along the coast. Mike Maurice is being retained as the delivery skipper and Jeff Merrill will hopefully join us for the offshore delivery and departure on Tuesday (if the weather we hope for materializes). Having emptied my Camano of our personal effects, Im bringing essentials to the boat via checked baggage. A quick stop for tools at Harbor Freight in Orange CA, top off the water and fuel and its off we go. Back to the topic of communications, the boat has a Fleet33 ship to shore satellite phone/data system. Im attempting to find service providers that can sign me up for pay as you go connectivity. There was a presentation last year at Trawlerfest in Poulsbo, I think by Concord Electronics in Ft. Lauderdale. The presenter did such a good job, Im trying to contact them to see if they can assist me in setting up the service.
