CollectionSpace v4.3 Development Update
Progress on the next release of CollectionSpace continues as we just completed Sprint 3 of 8. To learn more about the next release of CollectionSpace, version 4.3, please visit the CollectionSpace wiki at:
https://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/collectionspace/Release+4.3
To learn more about what we accomplished in Sprint 3, follow this link: https://issues.collectionspace.org/browse/CSPACE-6802?filter=16192
Some of the highlights for Sprint 3 are:
- Reintroduced support for Nuxeo's Amazon S3 plugin.
Nuxeo's Amazon S3 plugin allows you to configure CollectionSpace to store all binaries (images, text files, and other documents) in Amazon's S3 cloud storage system.
- Enabled the Elasticsearch libraries in our Nuxeo backend.
This will provide the CollectionSpace backend access to Elasticsearch queries which could improve performance on many searches and term completions. The work integrating Elasticsearch will continue in upcoming v4.3 sprints, so stay tuned.
- Resolved a very annoying issue of duplicate terms lists being adventitiously created.
To track the work we'll be doing during Sprint 4, please follow this link:

We'll be updating the information at that link several times a week for the next two weeks.
