Advocacy > > · Letters to Secretary DeVos and OMB Director Mulvaney – Yesterday CEF sent the attached letters to Education Secretary DeVos and OMB Director Mick Mulvaney advocating for a strong education investment for the remainder of fiscal year 2017 and in the Trump Administration’s 2018 budget request. We’re told the budget outline – not the full detailed program by program budget – will come out the week of March 13. We will be following up with meetings with the Administration in coming weeks. > > · Hill visits – This week CEF met with Brian Moulton with Senator Baldwin (D-WI); she is on the Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Subcommittee and is also up for re-election next year. She has always been a strong supporter of education funding. We will let Hill Teams know when we have scheduled the remaining visits with new Appropriations Committee members and other Red State Democrats up in 2018. > > II.
