Proposal to build a Concept Authority

Hello CSpace Colleagues,

UC Berkeley proposes to build a Concept authority. We would use this as an authority for, well, concepts (e.g., AAT), but this would also allow us to create instances of the Concept authority for more specific vocabularies needed by our implementers (e.g., a specialized authority just for materials, or techniques, or cultures). Thanks to Jan Eklund for building this!

The UCB requirements statement is at

And an excel attachment with schema and a data example/mockup are at
http://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/deploy/Concept+Authority+Schema+and+Mockup+-+UCB+Version

We will happily offer this as a contribution back to the core and make it available to other deployers.

Please review the requirements, schema, and example, and let me know if you have any questions, comments, or other requirements.

Again, we are very thrilled with your work. This concept authority will more than meet our needs at SMK - so we'd love to see it in the CS Core.
