I wondered about the slightly over 105 gallons of fuel--are you adding more?
The Yanmar diesels are fairly light weight engines (504 lbs)--and I don't
think you will gain much by moving them further foreward. The 106 gallons of
diesel in the tanks will probably weigh 450 to 500 lbs with the tanks and are
easier to move around. It is nice to get weight out of the ends of boats,
especially cats.

Hi All
Another point which Bob's comment brought to mind is
400 litres (105 US galls) of fuel at 13 litres per hour per engine at
3000rpm (Yanmar 125HP) will provide a little over 15 hours and then you
are empty.
At a safe 20% fuel reserve you have 12 hours cruise (something under 200
nm).
Fountaine-Pajot Highland 35 has double this volume at 800 litres (211 US
galls) and PDQ 34 provides nearly 700 litres (185 US galls).
For coast hopping this is adequate but I think I would be looking at
adding weight (fuel) not just moving it.
