Hello! I'm working on a project to increase the amount of affordable artist/artisan/maker space in Tacoma. The city did a poll a number of years ago and it showed there was interest. But times are different now and I'm working to find out what the interest level is today. These would be small studios suitable for no more than 3 people: 100-300 square feet at a cost of about $1.50 per foot. Ideally, this project would reuse a publicly owned building such as the Cushman Power Station near Proctor or the Gault Middle School on the Eastside.
