Tenure-track faculty position available August 17, 2012.
Responsibilities: serve as Director of Graduate Studies for the M.A. in
telecommunications; teach a 2-2 load per academic calendar year in the
areas of digital or new media theory, research, and/or analysis
criticism; supervise M.A. theses or creative projects; potential to
teach upper-level undergraduate classes as needed.  Minimum
qualifications: earned terminal degree in telecommunications,
communications, media arts, or related field; national or international
reputation in digital media theory, research, and/or analysis and
criticism; evidence of scholarly publishing in storytelling or media
convergence with emphasis in emerging media; minimum of four years of
teaching graduate courses in digital media theory, research, and/or
analysis and criticism; teaching experience on the college level and
evidence of teaching effectiveness; evidence of active involvement in
state, regional, national, or international organizations related to
digital media scholarship or pedagogy. Preferred qualification:  seven
years of teaching graduate-level courses.

The Department of Telecommunications has approximately 40 to 45
graduate students per academic year.  The program is housed in
state-of-the-art facilities with the latest high-end technology in
classrooms and labs.
