In addition to having a bit of fun, I am sure I will learn a lot

from this list/forum.
I live in Thailand.
Previously I had a 41 foot Randall monohull that I berthed in
Phuket, and enjoyed several years of great fun in the Andaman sea. Sadly, I
sold it a few years ago.
At the same time, I also had a 21 foot speedboat, (200 HP Yamaha),
that I ran up the Chao Praya River, which is called The River of Kings here,
and is an incredible river from which to enjoy and participate in the river
culture here, (which is totally amazing). I sold it a few months ago, to
help find funds to put into a new boat.
I am now about to have a Custom Bruce Roberts  designed Power Cat
35' built, which I hope to have in the water by years-end. I will be keeping
it in Pattaya, a Province about 2 hours from Bangkok, (where I live),
located on the Gulf of Thailand.
The Gulf is also an area rich in great Islands, fishing, deserted
gorgeous beaches/coves etc.
If the truth be known, I am both excited and somewhat apprehensive
about my handling of my new boat, especially docking!!!! When I had my boat
in Phuket, I had a Captain, and, frankly, was having so much fun on it, I
left the "hard stuff", (navigating, docking, anchoring etc), to my Captain.
I will not use a Captain on my new boat, soooooooooo it is all on my
shoulders. (Helpppppppppp hehe!!!). (Note, in my "life before the wonders of
Asia, in Toronto Canada, my boating was limited to runabouts and Hobie Cats
at the cottage, so I am in no way an experienced " sea sailor").
Well, that's the story. Not particularly interesting or unique, but
the facts!!!

What an exotic place to do your boating!

Is there a URL where we can see what your design looks like?

I'm sure you'll find the List useful in outfitting your new power
cat. Ask questions as your project proceeds.
