Good morning, The DOJ filed a lawsuit against New York City yesterday related to the city's sanctuary policies in United States v. City of New York. The Complaint makes the same Supremacy Clause arguments we have seen in the other cases brought by the federal government against state and local governments. The Complaint was filed shortly after an off duty federal customs officer was shot by an undocumented immigrant in the city and it alludes to news reporting that DHS plans to "flood the zone" with ICE agents in NYC after this incident.
