Reminder: How to Post to the NCL List

NCL Members,

The National Coalition for Literacy's Member Discussion List is a list for all members of the Coalition to distribute news and updates about member activities. As we are in the middle of conference and meeting season, I thought this might be a good time to remind and encourage people to use this list to post news about your organization, upcoming events, or other announcements. There are really no restrictions, as long as what you send is relevant to our community, non-offensive, and non-commercial. (So, for example, an advertisement for your side business as an exotic pets importer that is filled with offensive language would not be appropriate. Just try to use your best judgment.)

I recently failed to pass along a request from a member about an event, (sorry about that), and it reminded me that those of you relatively new to NCL may not realize that the list is open to you to post anytime you want — and you don’t need to ask me or another member of the board for permission.

To send a message to everyone on this list: just send an email to:
members@lists.national-coalition-literacy.org

I will try to work with the board on establishing some sort of system for sending regular reminders to everyone about how to post to the list.

Jeff

P.S. Announcement about our Spring Meeting coming soon!
