On August 3, 2013, the Foss Waterway Seaport will start our Pier Peer in Tacoma series with a "first time offered" extended event! Begin your evening by boarding a Dragon Boat, dressed with head and tail, and learn to paddle these wonderful boats with members of the Washington Dragon Boat Association. In addition to our regular program activities which will include a narrated live dive (where kids can talk to a diver while he is diving), dockside touch tanks, and lights in the water to attract a number of "critters," we will offer participants a chance to make and eat a Watershed Ice Cream Sundae...yummy! Come participate in bioluminescent, jellyfish, and plankton activities! This program will be a great summer adventure perfect for families ...a program you do not want to miss!

Please dress for the weather: The docks can be wet. Please bring your own flashlights; we will provide life jackets as well as scoops to catch sea creatures. All participants must wear a life jacket! We encourage you to bring your own life jacket if you own one.

WHEN & WHERE: August 3, 2013, 705 Dock Street, Tacoma, WA 98402

TIME: 6:00 to 10:00 PM (arrive by 5:45 PM)

COST: $15 per person. Each child, 8 years of age or older, requires one adult companion.
