The Division Director serves as a member of the TPCHD management and leadership teams and shares responsibility for strategic planning, leadership and management of the agency. The Division Director leads and manages the Environmental Health Division which includes, but is not limited to these programs: Food and Community Safety, On-Site Sewage, Surface and Drinking Water Quality, Waste Management, Indoor and Outdoor Air Quality, Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Tobacco Prevention. The Director is responsible for administering a $15 million budget, managing the work of approximately 105 FTEs and oversees approximately 50 contracts, partnerships, agreements and grants and serves under the direction of the Director of Health. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A Bachelors Degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Physical or Natural Sciences, Urban Planning or closely related field of study; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience and ten years of progressively responsible managerial experience is required. A Masters degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Physical or Natural Sciences, Urban Planning or closely related field of study is desired. * Ability to pass a background investigation * Possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driver's abstract is required prior to employment.
