If you missed the pre-order deadline or if you have decided that you
need to do some replanting after the ice storm, remember that the Pierce
Conservation District is featuring 31 species of plants native to
Western Washington as well as plastic tree tubes and spray on repellent
to protect the seedlings from deer, rodent and grass trimmer damage at
our annual native plant sale.
Species include 6-24 inch conifers such as lodgepole pine, douglas fir,
Fort Lewis ponderosa pine, and noble fir, 10-12" deciduous trees such as
pacific madrone and quaking aspen, and Oregon white oak, ground covers
such as kinnikinnick and salal, and a number of favorite wildlife
species such as; evergreen huckleberry, mock orange, red flowering
currant, and many more. The plant list is available on our website at

Prices range from $6 - $23 per bundle of five to ten plants. Checks and
cash only.
The sale will be taking place Saturday, March 3 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at
the Pierce Conservation District office, 5430 66th Ave E, Puyallup, WA
