Estimating bird numbers - eBird primer

Hi all,
For those of us who keep track of bird sightings, as well as numbers of birds
(eg., participating on Christmas Bird Counts, Summer Bird Counts, hawk-watches,
sea-watches, feeder-watches, eBird, etc.), it is important to get an accurate

Like anything else, this skill can be improved with practice.
