COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
The sociology department of St. Bonaventure University invites applications for a tenure track position (Assistant Professor), to begin fall 2011. The successful candidate will specialize in the sociology of communication and information technologies, with an expectation that new courses in the area of expertise will be developed. It is anticipated that candidates may also have the capability of developing and teaching courses related to popular culture. Additional teaching responsibilities are to include contributions to the University’s core curriculum, introductory level sociology courses, as well as the quantitative methods course. Teaching load is four courses per semester. Student advisement, research activity, and university service are also required. Applicants must have (or be within a year of completion of) a Ph.D. in sociology, and provide evidence of successful teaching and scholarly expertise.
