In the succeeding years, there have always been conflicts around enforcement of these rules, but for the most part, they have been followed, and you can see the results by comparing the look and feel of our neighborhood to those adjacent to us. But more and more, some neighbors have resisted complying with Vuecrest’s covenants. And this situation has snowballed, as neighbors see others ignoring the rules, and feel that they should be able to do so as well. As a result, the Vuecrest Board is considering enacting a policy to help increase compliance by creating a more streamlined enforcement process, which can escalate to fines being assessed. A copy of this draft proposal is attached. The Board is interested in hearing your feedback and suggestions. The Vuecrest Board has approved the process of digitally scanning the 160 sets of large format, paper architecture plans that we currently have in storage. These plans are from past projects approved by the Vuecrest Board and have been kept safe and secure for long term review. Recently, we’ve noticed that many of the plans have started to fade, become torn or are otherwise just deteriorating with age. Once scanned, each set of plans will be saved by address and will be hosted in the cloud online for long term digital storage. This will ensure we preserve the plans and make them more accessible. The roundtable discussions proposed by the Safety Committee at the 2020 Annual Meeting regarding Vuecrest's entrance/exit on Belfair Lane and 100th NE were not able to happen. However, very recently, discussions with city officials regarding this topic have happened. They have been made very aware of our concerns, given all the new housing and retail that is either currently under construction or in the works, about cut-through traffic, non-resident parking, and non-resident speeding.
