If you're in the Vancouver area and interested in seeing the new
Motorcat 29, as well as an extraordinary circumnavigator (albeit, a
monohull), here's what happening this Friday:
Idlewild rendezvous Friday 8/11 Noon at 49.08.4_123.28.5
This
Friday Ben Gray and his crew will bring Idlewild into Steveston Harbour on
the Fraser River next to Vancouver. Having completed a circumnavigation,
including a number of "Firsts", this port of call marks the conclusion of the
voyage.
A small group of people are going to rendezvous with Idlewild about 7 miles
off the entrance to the Fraser river at noon, allowing an arrival at
Steveston about 1500 hours for a welcome party to which everyone is
invited. Idlewild will be docked at Steveston until Saturday
morning, and, incidentally, she will be up for sale.

Sounds like fun--and a great opportunity to meet other Listees after
Idlewild pulls into Steveston Harbour around three o'clock. Thanks
to Scott Bulger and Willy Lloyd for organizing the rendezvous out in
the Strait of Georgia and the welcome at Steveston.
