New Wooden Tug For Sale The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding on Washington's Olympic Peninsula is wrapping up work on the Forest Service Boat built over the past two years by our Traditional Large Craft construction class. We are offering the tug for sale for $49,950.00. This would be a great boat for that long-awaited trip up to Alaska! Designed in 1957 by well-known Pacific Northwest designer H.C. Hanson for the U.S. Forest Service, this is a totally new vessel built 2011-2012. We've redesigned the interior to make it suitable for a cruising couple. The tug is 25 feet long, just over 7 feet wide, has a four foot draft and is powered by a 40hp Yanmar diesel.
