Visitors:
We thank all our visitors today including Jim, John, and all of the lovely
members of the public!
Weather:
Great weather again today with Southwest wind the whole day. Warmed up
quite a bit by the end of the day.
Raptor Observations:
We saw a handful of raptors today. Two juvenile Northern Harrier with
cinnamon colouration gave us a show above the marsh as well as an early
morning juvenile Peregrine. A few adult male American Kestrels are of note
as well!
Non-raptor Observations:
There were far less warblers today than yesterday, although we still have
some birds of note including Rough-winged Swallows and two Sandhill Cranes
who stuck around the marsh for a few hours.
Predictions:
The weather this weekend looks to be very similar to the last two days.
Fairly warm. Hoping to see more raptors to continue our upward trend and
more waterfowl as the waterlilies on the marsh die back for the season.
