Hello Gators,
It's a busy day of email forwards!  See below and please contact Sherri if
you are interested in participating (and if so, let me know so I can add
you to the event calendar).  Special bonus... You might see fellow Gator
Stacey Montgomery there as she is also participating in the event (on
another team).

Hi Don,
I met you and some of your Tri club last year at Blue Marsh.
I'm from the Reading area and I'm looking for a runner to join our Ultra PA
Ragnar team.
It's Jun2-3 starting in Lancaster and running to Split Rock.
We need someone who has been training for distance.
I just messaged your group via fb messenger  with the message below as I
was hoping maybe you could post it.

If you know anyone who may be interested please share this information.
Thanks in advance.

Looking for a runner to join our PA Ragnar ULTRA Team.

Ragnar Dates:
Friday June 2 (start time 0630 and runs through the night and finishing
late in day Saturday June 3, 2017)

Requirements:

  1. Be willing and able to run TOTAL DISTANCE 28-42 total miles over a time
period of approx 32ish hours (2 days and one night)

**Legs have not been assigned yet however each team member will have one
run during the overnight

2)Follow Ragnar established rules

  1. Pay fees associated with registration, van rental, gas, misc...

  2. Stay happy😃

Description:
We will be a team of six runners who will run 200.9 miles from Lancaster to
Split Rock in Poconos in relay fashion.

Each runner will run six times and each leg is of varied distance that was
determined by Ragnar.

Because each leg is a different distance the TOTAL distance for EACH runner
is different and can range from 28-42 miles.

If seriously interested Please contact me at sherri.zehner@gmail.com

Thanks again Sherri.

Hi Sherri,
Thanks for the note!

I'm Don, one of the Blue Marsh swimmers today. I'm also one of our club's
officers and I take care of a lot of the club communications. Regarding
next week's event, typically I'd gladly promote it, but the timing is a bit
bad as one of our club sponsors (French Creek Racing) also has a swim event
the same day and we try to point our members to the sponsored events. If
you learn about other future OWS events at Blue Marsh, please let us know.

Regarding future club swim workouts, you are welcome to join us. We're
typically at Blue Marsh 1-2 times per month (Saturday mornings). We don't
currently have our next visit planned... Maybe Aug 6 or 20. We post our
Blue Marsh swims to our private Facebook group. You are welcome to join our
group to stay tuned in to what we have planned; here's the link (when you
access it a join request will be generated)... https://www.
facebook.com/groups/msgators/

We do have about 8 members registered for IM AC 70.3, so if you are looking
for others to train with, this could be a good option.  We are based in the
Royersford/Limerick area and do a lot of our training on the Schuylkill
River Trail between Phoenixville and Philadelphia. Might be a hike for you
if you live in Reading area, but you are welcome to join us for a workout
if you are interested.

Hello,
My name is Sherri Zehner and today I met several of your Tri group members
at Blue Marsh in Reading. I can't remember the names of everyone I met but
wanted to pass this on to you.
There is an organized 1 mile race in Blue Marsh next Saturday Jul 30 hosted
by Berks county Aquatic hall of fame.
There is a lot of support in the water and it's a times event.
It's not a very large event but good practice.
The event is located at a different area of the lake (Church Road access)
than the beach where everyone swam today.
If interested go on line to Berks County Hall Aquatics Hall of Fame website
for registration form. The fee is $25.00

Also, I also wanted to say I would enjoy meeting up to swim with your group
if you come back to BM for more practices.
I briefly spoke to a few people who are doing the 70.3 in AC in Sept and
would love to practice swims with them as I'm also doing that event.
I can be contacted in fb or this email address.
