Hello CITAMS!
I’m writing to share the PhD student recruitment announcement from UMD’s iSchool. We want your aspiring scholars. Selfishly, I also want to note that the iSchool has a growing specialization in sociotechnical research, with myself, Wayne Lutters, Katie Shilton, and Jessica Vitak all in search of graduate students interested in the ‘social studies of technology’ topics listed below. Our methods range from ethnography to design to surveys, and we collaborate with colleagues at UMD and elsewhere in HCI, communication, sociology, law, and more. We’re happy to talk more about our work and life in the iSchool, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
Cheers,
Dan
