This weekend will be the biggest annual fundraiser for the Central Puget
Sound (King County) chapter of Washington Native Plant Society. It's the
main way we fund our educational booth, which travels to many events,
and especially our Native Plant Stewardship trainings, which are free
and open to the public.
Saturday, May 9, 10-4
Bellevue Botanical Garden, 12001 Main St., Bellevue, 98005
Hundreds of species & thousands of plants native to Washington,
including wildflowers, ferns, grasses, sedges, shrubs, & trees, all with
basic cultivation info. Mostly things native to the Puget Sound Trough,
plus some from the Gorge and eastern Washington.
Also a large selection of books (plus we hope to have Cedar Grove
compost). Cash, checks & Visa/Mastercard accepted.
More info at www.wnps.org, including a list of species offered.
Contact 206-527-3210 or wnps@wnps.org.
Bring your own boxes or trays please! Rain or shine, come prepared. And
please come early if you want the best selection, as we aren't always
able to get as much as we'd like of the species in high demand.
