Weather: 6C and overcast to start, with temp rising into double digits accompanied by much more sun later in the day. Winds were fairly modest, shifting from NW to N to NE as the day progressed. Raptor Observations: Interesting day: highlights included another calurus Red-tailed at 938a EST and quite a few Golden Eagles... many not more than twice tree top height as they passed by. Non-raptor Observations: Lots of non-raptors about: Highlights included a reasonably low group of Red-throated Loons heading toward the lake and several flocks of Evening Grosbeaks, sometimes mixed with Cedar Waxwings.
