GFC WEEK 11 ROLL CALL and THIS WEEK IN TRI CLUB (MARCH 16-22)...

This post serves as both your GFC weekly "Roll Call" and "This Week in Tri
Club"... Well, last week was interesting.  Let's hope that we'll see a
bounce back to some sort of normalcy in the very near future.  The best
thing we have going for us right now is us, so let's help each other to
work through this challenging time... The second best thing that we have
going for us is that we're endurance sports athletes!... We know how to
persist, work through the rough spots, and eventually we know that we'll
get where we want to go.  So let's put all of that together and continue to
do what we do best... Gator Done!

GATOR FITNESS CHALLENGE ROLL CALL, WEEK 11 (March 9-15) AND MODIFIED SBR
CHALLENGE RULES FOR WEEKS 12-13!

We're at 10 straight weeks of 60+ completed challenges... With last week's
challenges, I'm not sure if that streak was continued and this week will be
equally tough, but just a short amount of fitness training each day can get
you there... Let's keep this train rolling!  And due to the lack of
swimming facilities, we're modifying the GFC SBR Challenge rules to
motivate you to keep it going.

If you were able to successfully complete at least one of the weekly
challenges last week (ended on Sunday 3/15), post a comment so that we can
give you credit on our GFC tracking sheet!  And if you are not yet
participating and would like to join us for the final 2 weeks, just post a
comment and you are in!  Our motto with the GFC is that it's never too late
to start!

The "regular" SBR Challenge still requires...

• at least 45 minutes of swimming AND

• at least 45 minutes of cycling/spinning AND

• at least 45 minutes of running/jogging

and the SCF Challenge requires a combined 45 minutes (less than 7
minutes/day)  of...

• Strength work AND/OR...

• Flexibility work AND/OR...

• Core training

MODIFIED SBR CHALLENGE RULE...

During the YMCA closure timeframe (which will be for the balance of the
GFC... unless we extend it), you can earn the weekly SBR Challenge point
"duathlon-style" by...

• Completing a minimum total of 2 hours and 15 minutes of combined
cycling/trainer riding and running/jogging with a minimum of...

◦ 45 minutes of cycling

◦ 45 minutes of running/jogging

In other words, be sure to do the usual bike/run minimums and tack on an
extra 45 minutes of combined bike/run and you'll earn the point!... Just Du
It!

THIS WEEK IN TRI CLUB!

Here's what's planned...

• All regular club workouts are CANCELED for the week... But stay tuned to
Training Peaks and Facebook for guidance from your club coaching team plus
the YMCA is also posting training information and recorded workouts as part
of their "InsideOut" initiative as shared by Dre Barber of our club Head
Coaching Team last night...

"Virtual" Meetings... We'll be planning the April-June club workout
schedule and will post it sometime in the next week.  We'll also be
discussing many coaching and general club related topics, so watch for some
information coming your way!

is our once a year 24 hour opportunity to take advantage of club nutrition
